About

Fullstack developer in Garopaba, Santa Catarina, Brazil. I build systems for real clients and write here about what each one taught me.

What I do

I have worked as a freelance developer since May 2025, from gathering requirements with the client through deployment and maintenance. What has reached production so far: a tax integration between a store and an ERP running on a Cloudflare Worker, a made-to-measure product configurator that creates the variant through an API, an automation that reads WhatsApp conversations and feeds a CRM, and a multi-tenant SaaS still in development. I hold a degree in Systems Analysis and Development, completed at the end of 2024.

How I use AI

I use AI in development every day, and the part that interests me is what happens after it answers. I usually open independent conversations, some with the project context and some without, and ask them to audit the result. A fresh context is not committed to what the previous one wrote, so it sees what the author cannot. It is not a foolproof method and I do not check every line: it is a way to raise the odds that the mistake shows up before the client finds it.

Where the habit of verifying comes from

I worked as a QA analyst at Gsurf in 2022, reproducing and reporting defects alongside the development team. That is where the rule I still use comes from: what has not been verified has not been delivered. Between 2018 and 2025, across five seasons, I also worked as a lifeguard in Santa Catarina and in Cascais, Portugal, and as a community firefighter with the state fire department. I will not claim that teaches you to code, but it does teach you to act on incomplete information and to communicate without decoration, and both show up in the work every day.

Why I write here

Almost everything that became an article started as a bug or as a decision I had to justify to myself. Writing forces you to reconcile what the code does with what you think it does, and that reckoning usually turns up an error. I publish when the subject has been through production, not when it looks good on paper.

The two fronts

I also work as a real estate agent in Garopaba, which explains where part of this came from: the CRM and the WhatsApp automation grew out of my own client work, not out of an exercise. Building a tool for work I do myself is the fastest way I have found to learn whether it is any good.
